How To Serve It

For best taste, serve the cake the day it arrives. The fresh roses, gerbera daisies and any other florals on top are decorative only and should be lifted off before slicing. The chocolate truffles around the floral crown are edible and can be served alongside the cake. Store the cake in the sealed box at cool room temperature, away from direct sunlight. If you are serving the next day, refrigerate the cake (still on its gold board) and bring it back to room temperature about thirty minutes before slicing so the chocolate frosting softens.
