How To Serve and Store the Cake

The cake arrives ready to present. Remove the faux peony before serving and keep aside for the recipient as a small keepsake. The fresh pink rose can stay on the cake until just before cutting or be removed earlier and placed in a small vase. Best enjoyed at cool room temperature on the day it arrives or the day after, taken out of the fridge twenty minutes before serving so the icing softens slightly.
